Cron

Definition

A public cron plugin is an Ubidots-defined logic that gets executed periodically on intervals set by the user.

How to use cron plugins

Go to Ubidots → Devices → Plugins. There, select the cron plugin you want to create an instance of and configure its parameters, among which is the execution period.

After creating the plugin, the logic embedded in it will be executed according to the defined frequency.

The following screenshot displays the creation modal of a cron plugin. The red rectangle highlights the "run every" setting, which tells the plugin how often the logic will be executed:
